Thornetta Davis, Detroit’s "Queen of the Blues," is a renowned international singer, songwriter, and independent artist, recognized for her powerful vocals and captivating performances. A 2024 Blues Music Award nominee and 2023 winner for Best Soul/Blues Artist Female, she has earned over 30 Detroit Music Awards, including accolades for her album Honest Woman. Davis has shared the stage and recorded with blues legends like B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, and Etta James. She’s also a recipient of the prestigious Kresge Fellowship and the Detroit Blues Society's "Living Lifetime Achievement Award." Known for her fearless and soulful blues style, Thornetta's music has garnered international recognition, including a 2017 International Songwriting Competition win and a French La Academie du Jazz Award for Honest Woman.
